In the wake of World War II, anatomist and anthropologist Mildred Trotter left the Midwest for a temporary post as the forensic anthropology expert for the Army in the Territory of Hawaii. Her formidable task was to identify the remains of war losses in order to return them to their families, in a national effort that continues to this day. Join forensic anthropologist Emily Wilson as she explores the groundbreaking work Trotter undertook as one of the very few women in early physical anthropology.
FREE! Open to the public. No RSVP required.
