National Stop the Bleed Day -- Demo at the Medical Museum

What:

The top cause of preventable death in trauma is bleeding. 20% of people who have died from traumatic injuries could have survived with quick bleeding control. "Stop the Bleed" is a national campaign to address the most common cause of preventable trauma death in the nation: uncontrolled bleeding. Join museum educators for a demonstration on hemorrhage control to include use of blood-clotting bandages and tourniquets. And learn about the history of tourniquets since the Civil War.
