Originally a component of the Army Medical Department, the structure of the Air Force Medical Service reflects its own operational imperatives. From evaluating and maintaining fitness to fly at ever greater speeds and altitudes, to organizing and administering a hospital system, and creating an entirely novel system of patient movement, the evolution of the AFMS is an object lesson in organizing to meet the mission and "Keep 'em flying!"
FREE! Open to the public. No RSVP required.
