What:

During the Vietnam War, "Dustoff" became the name for helicopter medical evacuation missions that transformed battlefield medicine. Beginning with the first five Huey helicopters deployed to Vietnam, unarmed Dustoff crews evacuated more than 900,000 wounded and injured between 1962 and 1973. Their work helped wounded service members reach lifesaving care within the critical "golden hour" after injury. Join Donald Hall, Ph.D., as he explores the history, innovation, and lasting impact of Dustoff and the evolution of battlefield medical evacuation Silver Spring, MD 20910 (301) 319-3300 during the Vietnam War.
